Nautec has completed its first Wind farm Substation Installation services in Chinese waters. Nautec was awarded the contract for the provision of grouting crew and materials to carry out the offshore grouting operation for Binhai North H2 Offshore Wind Farm ESP-Substation, located in Binhai in the Jiangsu Province, China by China Yantai Salvage Bureau.

The Binhai North Phase 2 is being developed by the State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC) of China. The wind farm comprises 100 4MW wind turbines and a 400MW substation, which will be installed some 22 kilometres off the coast. The wind farm has been designed by Danish engineering, design and consultancy company Ramboll and the newly installed jacket structure will be supporting the 400MW substation. When completed, this offshore windfarm will rank among the top five largest offshore power generation capacities in the world.
