Nautic Offshore Pte Ltd has completed its service life extension programme on 12 platforms in the Arabian Sea for Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited, the National Oil Company of India.
The requalification services included structural strengthening of 22 members by way of infill grouting at 11 platforms, as well as the installation of grouted clamps on X-brace joints at 2 locations on the IA platform.
Nautic Offshore was the technical collaborator to Carlton Industrial Engineers and carried out the detail engineering design for the underwater structural repair of the IA platform. The services provided by Nautic Offshore included Project Management; Engineering Solutions and Grouting Services.
The repair and rejuvenation work was carried out on the ageing platforms in order to extend their service life for continued production and hence fully deplete the available reserves. The team used its proprietary NaX™ Q140 UHPC grout material for the member infill and clamp grouting operations.
With this project completed Nautec’s ample experience in subsea platform repair and rejuvenation work now tallies 35 platforms in Indian waters alone as the company logs 100 offshore projects on a global scale.
