Nautec has been awarded a 2-year turnkey detailed engineering, repair and installation contract for brownfield assets involving 15 platforms in Indian waters, as part of the Life Extension of Wellhead Platforms-2 (“LEWP-2”) project from AFCONS Infrastructure Ltd (“AFCONS”).
The project, which is expected to commence in Q4 2016, will involve subsea repairs of 15 aging platforms and Nautec will be responsible for the entire subsea repair work including survey support; detailed engineering; installation support and grouting using its proprietary Ultra High Performance Cementitious (UHPC) materials.
The project, which was awarded to AFCONS by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited, India’s national oil company, is one of the biggest brownfield revamping projects of its kind to date in Indian waters.
