Nautec has finished its first conductor repair project in Indian waters for Shell India (previously British Gas Exploration & Production India Ltd), in the Panna field.
The PA platform observed a parted 22 inch casing in the PA3 conductor. Nautec was awarded the tender for carrying out structural integrity analysis; develop a repair methodology and execute the project. Nautec’s team of engineers developed a grouted clamp design to do the repair and reinstate the structural integrity of the conductor.
This repair project was a first of its kind in Indian waters as the whole process was done without the use of divers and thereby making huge savings in time and money for the Client.
Nautec used its proprietary NaX™ Q140 UHPC grout to carry out the repair. To read more about the NaX™ product range please click here.
