Nautec has launched its Oil Well Cement (OWC) Laboratory in Singapore fully equipped for testing oil well cementitious materials according to API standards.
The laboratory is part of a SPRING Research and Development Program with the purpose of carrying out research and development of OWC slurries primarily for use in the Plug & Abandonment environment. These slurries will be based on existing nanotechnology used in its UHPC and ULPC materials, which are already in production.
The launch was celebrated with a reception at the OWC Lab facilities at Pioneer Junction, Singapore and the development program is part of the company’s strategy within its Subsurface and Wells division, which provides technology driven and highly engineered strengthening and installation services to the oil and gas industry.
