Nautic Materials Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nautec Limited, has entered into a sales and purchase agreement of a factory, laboratory and testing facility at Nusa Cemerlang Industrial Park in Johor, Malaysia. The double storey industrial manufacturing facility is strategically located along the Second Link Expressway to Tuas, Singapore. The total floor area of the acquired facility is 6,586 square metres.
Nautec has formerly rented the acquired facility and is currently producing its unique range of ultra high performance cementitious (UHPC) and high performance cementitious (HPC) materials for subsurface, subsea and surface applications in the oil and gas and renewable energy industries. The materials are marketed under its NaX™ Trademark.
The Board of Nautec believes that the acquisition of the facilities will enable the company to have continuous flexibility over the timing and volume of its NaX™ pre-mix production; provide long term cost savings; and provide the company with long term security of tenure over its premises.
