Nautec have recently been awarded a grouting contract with Dragon Oil Turkmenistan Ltd (DOTL) for grouting services in the Caspian Sea. Nautec shall supply a large amount of its specially designed high strength NaX™ grout for the structural repair and design life extension of a number of jackets in the LAM field. Nautec has worked with Dragon Oil for a number of years in the region and successfully repaired a number of the legacy Russian platforms.
There are a number of specific technical challenges associated with working in the Caspian region and on these structures in particular but Nautec have become very adept at overcoming these issues and hence the follow on work and sound working relationship with the client.
Nautec’s proprietary grout shall be injected into the annular space in the jacket legs to stiffen the structure and allow more effective load transfer from the jacket into the piles and subsequently the seabed.
