The Scope
Nautec performed FEED Engineering and preparation of FEED technical documents for EPIC for the Wellhead and Hub platforms. In addition, Architectural Design was performed for the Living Quarters Module. The FEED is for a mega gas development project in Vietnam which is expected to require 40 to 50 wellhead platform when fully developed. The development includes a CPP and ULQ platforms and a FSO.
The Challenges
The FEED commenced with the intention to use go-by designs from Chevron’s Thailand assets with minimal adjustments for operational requirements. However additional operational requirements were introduced and this was catered for with coordinated studies to identify the impact of the new requirements which allowed for decision making on the final configuration to be selected for the EPCI bidding phase.
