Front End Engineering Design and Detail Engineering Design of 6 infield pipelines with combined total length of about 35km in maximum water depth of 45m. Pipeline sizes consist of 6” Gas Lift, 8” Water Injection, 10” and 16” Production Pipelines.

The Scope
FEED and Detailed Engineering & Design scope include pipeline wall thickness design, on-bottom stability analysis and weight coating requirement, pipelines and risers allowable free span analysis, pipeline cathodic protection and anti-corrosion coating selection, pipeline thermal expansion analysis, pipeline buckling analysis, risers and expansion spools design, riser clamp design, pipeline installation feasibility study, preparation of pipeline specifications, MTO, data sheets, Technical Requisition, Vendor Data Review and Technical Bid Evaluation.
The Challenges
The pipelines were tied-in into an adjacent operator’s field. The receiving platform was also in design stage by other parties and tie-ins and interfaces for the pipeline design and operability had to be carefully managed to ensure a fully functional pipeline system between the 2 operators.
